Mercury Suites, St Julian's, Malta

Mercury Suites form part of the wider Mercury Towers development in St Julian’s, Malta. The project includes the restoration of the historic Mercury House alongside a 33-storey residential tower and associated mixed-use facilities.

Location & Lifestyle

The overall development was designed by Zaha Hadid Architects and combines residential, hotel, retail, office and public spaces. Mercury House is a 19th-century building originally completed in 1903 for telecommunications use. It has been restored and integrated into the modern development. The tower includes approximately 260+ residential units, along with shared amenities and hospitality services. A hotel operated under Meliá Hotels International is also part of the development, with some residential units offering hotel-managed services. Mercury Suites is located in St Julian’s, within walking distance of Malta’s main commercial, hospitality and entertainment districts, as well as nearby coastal areas such as Spinola Bay.

Special Designated Area (SDA)

Mercury Suites and Mercury Towers are located within a Special Designated Area (SDA). This allows both EU and non-EU nationals to purchase property without requiring an Acquisition of Immovable Property (AIP) permit. Units may also be rented without the restrictions that apply to some other residential developments in Malta.

Mercury Suites

Mercury Suites refer to a residential component within the wider Mercury Towers development. These units are designed with floor-to-ceiling glazing and terrace spaces, with layouts focused on natural light and open views. They are integrated into the same architectural structure and amenities as the main tower residences.
