Malta and Gozo are charming Islands, situated in the centre of the Mediterranean Sea, with very easy access to all major cities in Europe and North Africa.

Malta forms part of the archipelago made up of three islands, namely Malta, Gozo and Comino. The islands are situated in the middle of the Mediterranean and benefit from a warm climate and pleasant weather all year round. Malta's strategic location in the Med also makes it an excellent location for people who require easy access to mainland Europe, with efficient and large ports available in all corners of the island as well as in and outbound flights from the Malta International Airport in Luqa.

Malta forms part of the European Union and therefore benefits from political and financial stability along with a very comfortable standard of living. Prices in Malta are quite affordable and the property industry, which is an extremely lucrative one, offers a wide range to property seekers with different budgets and requirements.

When travelling to another country, people are concerned regarding what the general surroundings would be like, which is why Malta is always a safe choice in so many different aspects! Apart from the fact that you are surrounded by the crystal blue waters and ample beaches of the island, you are also exposed to some of the richest history in the world, with places such as Hagar Qim and Ggantija temples, which date back to 3600-3200 BC. If history does not tickle your fancy, you can experience the exquisite Mediterranean cuisine and the hospitable nature of the locals that are also very fluent in English!

Malta also offers an excellent social atmosphere for all age groups. Visit the Capital City of Valletta, which has become a nightlife hub for young adults. The Capital was once a quiet city by night, but has now become one of the most happening capitals in Europe! In fact, Valletta has also been declared as the European Capital of Culture for 2018, which has contributed to the rising of the Capital into what it is today.

For those considering relocating to Malta or staying on the island long-term, Malta offers excellent medical services and has become world renowned for its superb care and facilities. EU citizens are entitled to free health care if they are in possession of their European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) , which can be obtained from the health department in their respective country of residence. Non-EU citizens are advised to get travel insurance, but the medical rates in Malta are still signicantly more affordable than other countries such as the USA.

Other advantages to living in Malta are the excellent residency conditions with low taxation rates, the fantastic education system that follow the UK schooling system, the low crime rate, the relatively low cost of living with no rates or council taxes being charged and the stable property market which offers stable capital growth.

There are so many reasons why Malta has become such an ideal destination for those looking for a holiday home, a place to relocate for business, a place to retire or for an ideal change from urban city life to living on an island in the middle of the Mediterranean.
